What is an adjustable hand block?

It’s a multifunction tool for sanding concave, convex and flat surfaces thanks to a millimeter mechanical adjustment. Arranged for the dust suction is composed of a plastic part and a surface area of adhesion to the abrasive paper called Velcro® (or PSA system on request).

Thanks to the big experience accumulated over the years the Abrex-System presents an adjustable file board 70x400 mm with or without dust extraction. In fact, thanks to the mechanical adjustment the operator can easily adapt the tool to the surface to be sanded. And therefore it is particularly suitable for concave , convex and flat surfaces. The easy removal of the adjustment mechanism allows to adapt the shape of the tool to the surface and having the tool free from restrictions in the hands.
The same type of tool is also produced in the rigid version without any adjustment.
This hand block maintains the characteristics of the Abrex-System line with particular attention to design and handling, not to mention the innovative features such as high dust removal and the low height of the tool.
As a whole line of hand blocks are available several accessories such as 4 or 6 mt flexible hose with conical attachment, air control valve, and various rubber adapters required to connect the tool to the dust extraction system.

> For these products high-quality, plastic materials are used with colours which can be customised according to the customer’s preferences depending on quantities.

Hand Block Kit

“4 CURVED SHAPES” – PATENTED -

- is a multipurpose tool conceived for sanding on concave, convex and flat shaped surfaces thanks to special adapters coupled with their handle. The need for sanding on shaped surfaces drove Abrex-System to the project of a new tool aiming at solving the problems of very demanding users. kit tamponi

This is the origin of “4 curved shapes”, a futuristic tool made by: a basic cap with rubber handle, a convex adapter with R=160mm, a concave adapter with R=52mm, a concave adapter with R=100 and
a flat adapter. The complete kit is available in two different sizes: 70x125 and 70x198mm.

As usual, Abrex took special care of quality, dust suction system, suction control, ergonomic design.
4 adapters replacement is quick and easy. The flat adapter (“flat”) is the perfect completion of this kit.
Customization through company logos and special colours of the plastic parts make this product even more performing, winning and unique.
The kit is equipped with air control valve, 4mt long suction tube and a D.29mm tube fitting.

Multipurpose Disc Kit

Following the success of the “4 in 1 Kit”, specifically designed for abrasive cut sheets, we extended this concept through the project MULTIPURPOSE DISC KIT. This a new generation tool conceived for flat and contoured surface hand sanding using Ø150mm abrasive discs. kit tamponi
Abrasive discs represent more than 90% of the total market sales and they are used for machine sanding.
Instead for abrasive cut sheets, is necessary to introduce a whole grit range and new sizes and therefore an important increase of managing costs.
As a consequence, all of the end users own abrasive discs for machine sanding but at the same time they keep their need for a solution for flat and contoured surface hand sanding
The MULTIPURPOSE DISC KIT represents the right solution in combining these two aspects.
The Kit is made by a basic pad with rubber ergonomic handle, a R=115 convex adaptor, a R=63 concave adaptor and a flat adaptor.
Abrex System has always been very careful about quality standards, design and especially tests and dust extraction system.
All of the adaptors are designed with a multi-perforated system for dust extraction and with velcro fixing.
This enables the use of the kit in many fields of application: NET DISCS, MULTIPERFORATED DISCS, STANDARD PERFORATION DISCS AND FOAM BACKED DISCS.
Adaptor replacement is quick, intuitive, safe and long lasting.
Dust extraction is controlled through a setting valve included in the kit.

What is a Sanding Block?

It’s a tool for using sandpaper manually and is generally composed of a plastic part and a surface for attaching the sandpaper to by means of a self-stick or Velcro® system.Can be predisposed for dust suction.Hand sanding blocks have been part of the Abrex-System range for many years. In the course of time design and functional needs have led to many changes, developing these products into the current 5-model range.The special ergonomic, rubber grip and exclusive design are the most striking features but when in use one can also appreciate the extreme functionality, perfect planarity and dust suction system achieved thanks to the internal structure of the block. These blocks can be provided with a series of accessories such as: the 4m tube with conical attachment for connection to the suction system, the air flow valve and a rubber connector to use the range of blocks with Ø 29mm tubes too.

This presentation offers the chance to appreciate the many possibilities of customisation using the vast range of colours available and customers’ logos printed onto the plastic, making it the most popular product in the bodywork, wood and nautical sectors.
